I’m one of those who put their head down and run along seeking the minute gain of an inside corner; couple that with the faster runners passing uses the whole “trail” or in this case one lane fire road. Were the runners informed by the race directors that your bike was on course? Looks a little sketchy having you ride around blind corners against the flow without a warning.
I pay to race on a trail that doesn’t have bikers coming at me, forcing me to break stride, forcing me to get out of the way. Every other day I expect bikers to do this but not on a race day - nothing personal.
